Price is a big deal these days as well, for both consoles and PC gaming.

yeah it is but that's another issue, although you can get alot of classic games for cheaper now, with the exception of the more rare games. Games were still expensive back in the day aswell.

Honestly, I think it entirely depends on the game.. : /

If you have an older game that has a good concept/characters(if applicable)/fun gameplay, etc. then it's a good game despite not necessarily having the best graphics, 'coolness', packaging, etc.

However, if you have a new game that has a good concept/characters(if applicable)/fun gameplay, etc. then it's a good game and isn't relying entirely on graphics, 'coolness', packaging, etc.

(And in the old days, some then "new" games were $50-$70 when they came out, too.. It's never been a particularly cheap hobby - at least not for those who can't wait.. ; p )

Yeah, but most of the time those will last a good while.

I still have not gotten that truck fixed. We need to buy an entire new rear end for it, that's a good $200, then fuel for that stuff is expensive lol.

Just saying hobbies are expensive, but if it's what you want to do, I see no problem with it.

I agree DJ, to someone who loves doing something, its hard to put a price on fun. so for something you enjoy dong, your usually willing to spend alot of money on it.
