Okay...this takes a bit of explaining!

I don't know if its the "Next Gen" or what but I find that a lot of the games in this generation I just can't seem to make myself play them to completion or what. Its an odd problem because when I play a lot of the retro RPGs now I seem more interested in those games than I do say the Final Fantasty XIIIs or Heavy Rains or heck even "God of War". For some reason I play a game for like 5 minutes(that I paid $60USD for) and then it seems I go "Okay...I'm done with this game". I don't know if its I get frustrated, the game don't interest me or if I'm waiting for a strategy guide but about 90% of the games I have owned either sit on my shelf or were traded in and some were like AAA titles for the PS3 which is really odd!

So basically here's the question: Am I the only person around here that has ever had this issue or are there others out there?

take it easy gang?

You're not the only one. I've done the same thing with a few games with the most recent ones being Metal Gear Solid 4 and Devil May Cry 4. A lot of games now a days just don't hold my interest that long for some reason. I tend to download a lot of games from PSN and X-live and play those more than retail games.

Maybe I'm just getting old :v

You're not the only one. The only games I like in this gen are ones from series that already exist (i.e. Mario, Final Fantasy, etc.). The newer series/games just don't catch my interest for some reason :/ .

..Depends entirely on the game, really..

Though that may be a skewed opinion since my newest game system is a Gamecube... well, except for the PSP and DS I rarely play... ... ... ¬ ¬;

Same here, I have a few games that are collecting dust right now and from time to time I tell myself that I will someday play them, heh, that someday will never get here I think. Dont know about you guys but ever since I began watching Ronmower's reviews I became more enthused about purchasing and playing the old stuff like the 16-bit games and what not, so I did and got me a Sega Genesis with a few games. The Nintendo Wii is probably the only console I play more often now, Im totally into that whole wii experience, I cant wait for Wii-HD.

After seeing his reviews of Megaman, I've became a Megaman addict again XD (and seriously wanna get my hands on the classic collection of Megaman and X D: ).

I think that's why I started doing LPs(yes I FINALLY got the stones to do them). My thinking is that by doing LPs I'll force myself to want to finish games to completion for the viewer to see how I do things with the game. Before that(and when I started this thread) it was like "Okay...I bought this game and now its gonna sit on my shelf" because I had no reason to even WANT to play the games even if its just for a simple gameplay video. Now I think I have more of an interest in wanting to play the games I have honestly and for that I'm grateful.

Y'all have a good one
